INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect information you provide when creating an account: email address, password (hashed, never stored in plain text), and your site URL. When you run a scan, we collect the scan results, violation data, and compliance scores associated with your site. We do not collect personal data from your website visitors.

USAGE DATA

We collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. This data is used to operate and improve the service and is not sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use your information to provide and improve BadgerTrace, send transactional emails (scan completions, account notifications), process payments via Stripe (we do not store card data — Stripe handles all payment processing), and comply with legal obligations.

DATA RETENTION

Scan records and vault entries are retained for the duration of your subscription. Upon account deletion, scan data is deleted within 30 days. Anonymized aggregate data (not linked to your account) may be retained for product improvement.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

BadgerTrace uses the following third-party services: Stripe (payment processing), Resend (transactional email), Supabase (database hosting), Cloudflare (DNS and CDN), Fly.io (application hosting). Each service operates under its own privacy policy.

YOUR RIGHTS

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting support@badgertrace.com. We will respond within 30 days.
